Christmas Countdown!! Christmas jumpers on Parade!

Whether you're a fan of a novelty sweater or a classy knit, everyone loves a Christmas jumper! So I have decided to have a little Christmas jumper haul, hopefully with a jumper to suit everyone. Last year my sisters and I went for novelty jumpers, this year we have gone for something a bit more grown up as we will be venturing out this Christmas day!

I was going to write this post a bit closer to Christmas but one of my friends informed me that some people may still need to go and get a jumper (her included). So here it is.. What sort of jumper you would like, and where to get it.

I'll start with last years jumpers...

All of last years jumpers were from eBay, and I have checked, this is still available! It cost me around £15. Be warned it isn't the greatest material but it's comfy enough.

This jumper was also from eBay, but I have see them everywhere this year, I guess we're all fans of Home Alone. These can be purchased from boohoo, Asos, or good old eBay. (Around £15- £20).

Again an eBay buy. This novelty Beaut was £12.

I absolutely love this jumper! It's from boohoo and is £15. Its such a flattering fit and I think a bright red lip would really set it off.

Rudolph here is so adorable and is £14.99 from missguided. The sizes come up slightly big, so if you're a 10-12 go for a 10, if you're a 12-14 go for a 12 and so on.

This baby is my Christmas jumper of choice this year. The most expensive of the bunch at £22 (missguided) but worth it I think. Can be worn as a plain Christmas tree or it has a bag of decorations attached to the tag so you are able to decorate the tree if you want (which I will deffo be doing!)

I hope there has been a little something for everybody, no matter your taste. And I hope I have helped you pick your jumper if you still need one!
Remember Asos, missguided and boohoo all do next day delivery.

I want to see your Christmas jumpers! Pick a social media outlet and share your jumpers with me! Get tagging.

Peace and love ✌️ xx

Christmas Countdown! Egg on our faces!

My sisters and I love home made beauty products, whether it's a face mask, hair mask, Vaseline on our eyelashes or Sudocreme on every ailment we can find... We love them!

So when I found a new recipe for a 'clear skin' face mask, we tried it straight away.

What you will need (per mask);
1 egg white
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon of honey
Hot flannels
Clean cotton balls

Step 1:
Mix the egg white and lemon juice in a bowl until it turns frothy.

Step 2:
Add the honey and mix until it is blended in with the lemon and egg white.

Step 3:
Make sure your face is freshly clean, use clean cotton balls to apply the mask to your face. Beware this feel an awful lot like putting bogies on your face. (Not that I put bogies on my face on the regs).

Step 4:
Once you have layered it on thickly, wait with your face in a relaxed position for around 15 minutes. The mask become tight quite quickly.

Step 5:
After 15 mins, your face will feel strangely close to that of a glazed donut from Greggs (mmmm Greggs) Reach for a clean hot flannel- no soap!- and wash your face thoroughly, this feels amazing!! And apply moisteriser.

As soon as we had taken the masks off we felt so much better, a few words being thrown around were-

Fresh
Firm
Clean
Tighter
Less pimples
Upcoming spots are gone
Youthful
Shed a snakeskin

And now the morning after my face feel amazing! My skin feels tighter, my spots have vanished and the dry skin on my nose is completely gone.

Excuse the messy hair, I have recently woken up!

I would deffo recommend this mask and I will no doubt be doing it again before Christmas!!

Let me know how it goes!

Peace and love ✌️ xx

Christmas countdown!! Curly bits and bobs!

A friend of mine recently cut off her lovely long locks for an equally lovely bob haircut.. She has decided since then that she is no longer happy with her choice because she can't curl her hair anymore. I understand where she is coming from, when I first had the chop I was distraught  but I learned a way of curling  my hair without making my head look like a mushroom.. So Alice, I dedicate this post to you.

Like I said when I first tried to curl my hair after cutting it, I did it all wrong. I tried to curl it the same way I would with long hair. So the barrel was too thick, the technique all wrong and my hair just looked like a portabello mushroom!

Before I begin, I would like to apologise for the quality of the pictures, I was wearing no make up and put a lot of filters on them!! I will be using a decent camera very soon so please bear with me!

So first thing is you need nice thin tongs, a wand would work as well but they are often tapered so you need to use the thinner end. I use these, they're boots own.

So I usually split my hair half up half down, and start with the bottom layer, curling away from my face.

The trick to getting a decent looking curl on a bob is to leave around a centimetre at the bottom of your hair out of the tongs so it stays straight. This stops the hair curling under and gives a nice choppy look.

When you release after around 20 seconds it will leave a stiff ringlet

Once the whole bottom layer is done, run your fingers through it to loosen the curls

Remember you are curling away from your face! So once you have curled one half you need to change the direction or your curl!

Then let the top half of your hair down and repeat the process... Run your fingers through your hair, and hairspray the curls from below (don't spray your roots- I find it makes the hair too heavy).

If you want a bit more volume you can always backcomb your roots slightly, it's a good look for a night out.

And you're done!

Again I apologise for the poor quality of the pics, I will very soon have a lovely decent camera to use!!

Let me know how the curls go!

Peace and love✌️ xx

Dirty Drinks and Shoes

The Weekend just gone was my little sisters’ birthday, and even though the big celebration will be this coming weekend we decided to pop into town on their actual day of birth to have a wander around.
Our first stop was Covent Garden where we grabbed a quick sandwich then proceeded to our fave little bar- Dirty Martini, a tiny underground speakeasy with an endless happy hour. Dark and candle-lit all day long, it is perfect for getting lost in London.

Feeling merry (and slightly confused that it was still daylight) we decided it would be a good idea to visit Harrods. And once we finally made our way through the herd in Knightsbridge station (seriously who just goes to Harrods on a whim 4 weekends before Christmas??) we arrived in the beauty section. But no, that was not good enough for us. We were headed in one direction only… Shoe Heaven.
As someone who had never previously been to SH, I don’t know what I was doing with my life up until this point because as soon as I stepped inside I felt like my world was complete.
The beautiful entrance on the Egyptian staircase can’t even take your eyes away from the magic that is inside… Everything is glass, and mirrored and spotlighted to perfection (I know it is a sales technique- it works). Most girls are inner magpies, give us something shiny and we’re yours.

Walking through the maze of Chanel, Prada and Christian Louboutin, with ruby slippers that even Glinda would have coveted, shoes covered in (real) pearls, and a whole room of Carrie’s Manolos in every jewel tone you could possibly imagine, one thing was for sure, we were not in Kansas anymore. Each cove belonging to a different designer held new wonder for our eager souls.
The price tags were rising, the carpets inviting, the lights shining brightly, the shoes were like prizes, in all different sizes, it was all so exciting, with Valentino and Prada and Alaia oh my!
With us girls ooohing and aaahing and caressing every shoe we laid eyes on, poor Dan really dealt with it well. Obviously I was not allowed to take pictures of the shoes themselves, so you must all go to see the beauts with your own eyes, its worth going just to walk on the lush carpets (even my uninterested boyfriend admitted they were good!)
So fly my pretties, go and enjoy the splendors of Shoe Heaven… but be careful you may not ever wish to go home.
Peace and love xx

Lips That Can Party All Night

I was shocked when I realised how many of my lovely friends who are fantastic at make up didn’t know the trick to keep lipstick on all day and night. So it made me wonder how many other lovely ladies aren’t privy to the secret. In this post I will go through how I put my lipstick on in the morning to make it last all day (no matter what I eat or drink).
I am aware that this post would have worked better as a vlog but I don’t have a decent camera or lighting so for now this will have to do.. I have done my best!
Firstly, this is what you will need to complete this look.
068
Lip balm, concealer, lip liner (MAC ‘currant’), a lip brush, lipstick (MAC ‘rebel’), one square of tissue, and a bottle of Lipcote.
FIRST STEP: Rub a tiny amount of lip balm onto your lips, this works as a primer. It will take any dryness out of your lips, making it easier to apply the liner. Then take some concealer and dab it onto your lips then even it out with your finger.
072
SECOND STEP: Line all around your lips (if you want a darker fuller colour then you can fill your lips in with liner as well, but I’m going for more of an ombre look this time). Make sure you don’t forget the creases in the corner of your mouth, this will ensure you join the lips evenly and your lips will look fuller.
074
THIRD STEP: Apply the lipstick. For this you don’t have to use a brush but I always do just to make sure its even and well covered. Then take your tissue and blot.
078
FOURTH STEP: Re-apply the lipstick, you will see the colour deepen and you can go over any edges that my be slightly uneven.
073
FIFTH STEP: Reline the outer lip, depending on what look you are going for this can be a nice light line, or like me, quite dark. Then take your lip brush and just blend it in slightly so the look is not so dramatic.
076
SIXTH STEP: Apply your Lipcote. Now I’m not going to lie to you, this will feel like your lips are on fire for around 7 seconds.. But then it dies down and you just have to wait for it to dry. Best to try and keep your mouth perfectly still for this, it will take around a minute.
075
And there you have it, do this in the morning and I can guarantee that come 8pm your lips will be perfect. The only thing you may need to touch up is the inside of your lips if you eat things like sandwiches or burgers as the contact with your lipstick will inevitably rub a bit.
077
I have gone through this process step by step so it might seem like it would take ages but that is absolutely not the case, it takes about 4 mins in total.
Give it a go ladies and let me know how it works out!
Peace and love xxx
